history

Since 2011, works by artists with national and international appeal have been shown in the exhibition rooms in the former broadcasting building of the state broadcaster Beromünster. In addition to the temporary exhibitions in three art halls, works by artists over a longer period can be seen in the cabinets and in art gallery 4. The exhibitions and the associated art education are the core and goal of the KKLB.

In 2017 the administrative management was separated from the artistic management and was taken over by Vice Director Rahel de Col and CDO David Bucher.

Since January 2017, the KKLB has also had a branch in Berlin . The focus there is not on the location, the collection or an exhibition program, but on perception.
