The art and culture radio Schöpfwerk is a weekly radio broadcast that is broadcast on the Internet via the ORF platform oe1campus . It emerged in 2004 from the Schöpfwerk community radio . The art and culture radio Schöpfwerk was renamed in March 2013 to Art and Culture Radio International and now broadcasts every Wednesday between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. via ORF Ö1 Campus.

The editor Renate Schnee from Radio Schöpfwerk received the recognition award of the Andreas Reischek Prize for outstanding journalistic achievements in radio in 2000 .

history

The art and culture radio Schöpfwerk emerged from the community radio Schöpfwerk , which was broadcast from 1997 to 2003 on ORF Radio 1476 . The first broadcast of the art and culture radio Schöpfwerk was broadcast on March 3, 2004, at that time on radio 1476 , which was replaced on January 1, 2009 by the web radio oe1campus .

Broadcasts and editing

The art and culture of the radio Schöpfwerk editorial is based in the premises of the district center Bassena 12 ( Association of Viennese Youth Centers ) in the condominium at the pumping station in the 12th Viennese district Meidling . The program directors are Manfred Sequardt (since 2004) and Karel Sternlieb (since 2005).

The art and culture radio Schöpfwerk broadcasts as an internet radio 24 hours a day. Approx. 11 hours of programming are offered per day (5 of which are repetitions), otherwise there are music programs. Some programs are also broadcast on ORF Ö1campus. There is one hour of programming per week, and the current program can also be heard on the homepage of the Kunst und Kulturradio Schöpfwerk. Once a month Manfred Sequardt reports on Viennese cultural life in Sequardt's sequences . Karel Sternlieb presents new books and newcomer bands once a month in Zur Abendstund . Gunther Tressl designs the program Cultures of the World once a month .

Cooperations

There are collaborations with the First Vienna Reading Theater and Second Impromptu Theater and the association Die Bassena supports the art and cultural radio Schöpfwerk in the technical and administrative areas.
