The Malmö Art Gallery ( Swedish Malmö Konsthall ) is an art gallery in the southern Swedish city ​​of Malmö . It attracts around 200,000 visitors annually.

Exhibitions

The art gallery shows classic modern and contemporary, national and international art. Artistic experiments and events take place there, also across borders with other art forms such as theater, film, video, poetry and music. The art gallery also organizes lectures and debates.

construction

The art gallery, inaugurated in 1975, was built according to designs by the Swedish architect Klas Anshelm . The building offers a very flexible and bright exhibition area of ​​2,000 m². The art gallery was renovated in 1994 and expanded into the adjoining brick building, Hantverkshuset .
