Finkenwerder Art Prize
The Finkenwerder Art Prize , awarded to Hamburg-Finkenwerder , is an art prize that is awarded to contemporary artists every two years.
History and endowment
The Finkenwerder cultural group began planning the regular award of the Finkenwerder Art Prize in 1999 . The prize has been awarded every two years since 2000; it is endowed with 20,000 euros. This makes it one of the most highly endowed art prizes in Europe. The sponsors of the award are Airbus in Finkenwerder and the Finkenwärder Hoffnung eG building cooperative
Thomas Mirow is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Finkenwerder Art Prize . The board of trustees advises the board of directors and appoints an independent jury at each award ceremony to elect the winner.
