history
The publishing house was founded in 1997 by Wolfgang and Calina Kunth under the name Verlag Wolfgang Kunth and renamed Kunth Verlag in 2012 . In 2011 the cartographic publisher GeoGraphic Publishers , which formerly belonged to Wolfgang Kunth and Langenscheidt KG with 50% each, was merged with Kunth Verlag.
Publishing program
The publisher publishes and sells illustrated books, illustrated non-fiction books from geographical, cultural and tourist topics, world atlases, travel maps and atlases as well as calendars. One of the best-known works is the title "Das Erbe der Welt", which has been updated and reissued annually for 18 years and documents all UNESCO World Heritage Sites . Kunth Verlag publishes the photo art books ("Shanghai II", "Berlin", "New York", "London") by the photographers Horst Zielske and Daniel Zielske .
Awards
Kunth Verlag publications have received numerous awards over the years, including the IMTA Gold Award (Best World Atlas), ITB Book Awards and Gregor Calendar Awards (Gold and Silver 2015, Silver and Bronze 2016).
