Kupari (Croatian Kupa for roof tiles) is a seaside resort in Croatia .
The place is at the southernmost end of the Croatian Adriatic coast or south of Dubrovnik. In Kupari, the roof tiles of the city of Dubrovnik were made in the Kuparica factory. Like Dubrovnik and other places in southern Croatia, Kupari was badly destroyed by the Serbian-Montenegrin troops during the Croatian War (see Battle of Dubrovnik ). Numerous magnificent hotels such as the "Grand Hotel Kupari", "Hotel Pelegrin" and the "Hotel Goricina" were robbed, bombed and set on fire. One of the most beautiful beaches in Croatia can be found in Kupari. Other well-known seaside resorts such as Cavtat , Mlini , Konavle or Srebreno are just a stone's throw away.
Hotel Pelegrin in Kupari, south of Dubrovnik , was destroyed in 1991
