The Kuratorium Deutsche Altershilfe , Wilhelmine-Lübke-Stiftung e. V. ( KDA ) based in Berlin develops concepts and models for elderly care (outpatient and inpatient), promotes them and helps to put them into practice.

A multidisciplinary team from the fields of economics , architecture , social, health and care sciences , psychology , social work , pedagogy , social pedagogy , biology and geography advises, trains, networks and informs managers and employees on the following topics:

history

The non-partisan and non-profit institution was founded in 1962 by Federal President Heinrich Lübke and his wife Wilhelmine Lübke . The reason for the establishment was the inadequate care of the elderly, which was felt at the time, and above all the deficit situation of the homes with their character of custodial institutions.

The KDA is under the patronage of Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier . Members of the Board of Trustees are well-known personalities from politics , business , science , welfare and geriatric care . The curators are appointed by the Federal President.
