action

The sixteen-year-old boy Shinkurō Kurenai has specialized in ending disputes between individuals for his clients. In doing so, he often risks his life until one day he receives a special assignment from his client, Benika Jūzawa. He is supposed to take care of the daughter of the powerful and plutocratic family of the Kuhōin, who was previously freed from their residence by Benika. With wise foresight, Benika drops her close colleague Yayoi Inuzuka in front of Shinkurō's door, where she guards the apartment day and night without Shinkurō's knowledge.

The seven-year-old Murasaki Kuhōin, the daughter of Sōju and Renjō Kuhōin, was supposed to move in with him in order not to be found by her family. But she is very spoiled and conceited, so that she initially clashes with Shinkurō over and over again because of his run-down apartment. But soon she is able to accept her new situation and trusts Shinkurō. She met the student Tamaki Mutō and the mostly black woman Yamie.

Shinkurō has few friends at school. These include Ginko Murakami, who is constantly looking for information on the Internet. She has secretly fallen in love with him and provides him with information about his assignments, which he also has to fulfill during his assignment as a guardian. Another classmate of his is Yūno Hōzuki, whom he has known since a young age and with whom he trains again and again.

Exactly at the moment when the roommates of the house and the friends of Shinkurō get along enough that they have a party together, Murasaki Kuhōin is kidnapped by the employees of Renjō Kuhōin. Murasaki's mother was raped by him and gave birth to Murasaki as an illegitimate child. Since no one outside the family should find out about this child, he locked Soju and Murasaki separately from each other. Being unable to bear this condition anymore, Murasaki's mother committed suicide.

Now caught again in the clutches of her father, her friends try to free her from this situation in which she gradually feels more and more love for Shinkurō.
