Company history

Little is known about the history of Kurt Becker KG, except that the entrepreneur Kurt Becker probably founded it in Berlin shortly after the Second World War . The company probably only produced a series of toy cars around 1947.

Model of the Auto Union racing car

The pre-war racing car of Auto Union on a scale of 1: 43 was taken up. Auto-Union racing cars were built from 1934 to 1939 by the Zwickauer Horch -Werke as types A to D. The main designers were Ferdinand Porsche and most recently Robert Eberan von Eberhorst . Kurt Becker rebuilt the "Type A" in a small model and devoted himself to the very rare sub-type "long tail". August Momberger , racing driver, engineer and works sports manager, drove the car on the AVUS in 1934 . The miniature replica of this car was unusual because its heyday was in the 1930s and it was also considered one of the “flagships” of the Nazi regime . After the war, Auto Union did not return to the “racing circuit”.

Product variants

Kurt Becker's Auto Union racing car became known as the “B1300” series. There were six different, regularly matt lacquered color combinations:

  • gray-white / khaki with red seats
  • green with red seats
  • dark red with gray-white / khaki-colored seats
  • light red with blue seats
  • dark blue with red seats
  • light blue with red seats

The matt finish of the small vehicles was also unusual. However, this is attributed to the fact that the colors used must have been used by the military, which as a war legacy was the only color available on the market in young post-war Germany.
