Kurt Franz (Author)

Kurt Franz (born March 14, 1949 in Eibiswald ) is an Austrian author and primarily writes plays.

Life

Kurt Franz grew up in Eibiswald and graduated from the music and pedagogical federal high school in Graz in 1968, after which he studied German, philosophy and sociology at the University of Graz. He then lived as a freelance author, journalist, theater director, organizer of cultural events, and is now also active as an astrological and anthroposophical consultant, lecturer and publisher. In 1977 he became co-founder and co-editor of Sterz . He took part in the founding of theaters in Deutschlandsberg in 1979 - "Dramatischer Club Sterz" and in Eibiswald in 1991 - "Theater im Lerchhaus". From 1991 he was involved in setting up the Southwest Styrian cultural center "Lerchhaus" in Eibiswald. Franz is a member of the IG Authors and Authors and the Austrian Dramatists Association .
