Kurt-Friedrich Gänzl , actually Brian Roy Gallas , (born February 15, 1946 in Wellington , New Zealand ) is a New Zealand publicist, musicologist , casting director and singer who became known for his publications on musicals and operettas .
Brian Roy Gallas has Austrian ancestors. After his career as an actor and singer as well as working as a casting director for West End shows, Gänzl became one of the most famous authors on the history of entertaining musical theater (musicals and operettas).
