Kurt Kaiser (musician)

Kurt Kaiser (* 1922 in Berlin ) is a German bassoonist , pianist , accordionist and arranger .

After his training as a musician at the Luckau Town Music School by music director Hermann Krüger and Hermann Kaiser, tuba player and concert master of the Deutsche Reichsbahn orchestra, Kaiser was a Bayreuth musician and military musician during the Second World War . He still played under Franz Lehár and, as a member of several military orchestras, also took part in the famous concert at the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.

A large part of his work of self-arranged and transposed sheet music for small orchestra and piano / bassoon from the first half of the 20th century is available as a document of the zeitgeist in the German Music Archive Foundation . His collection of antique bassoons is exhibited in the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation .
