Kurt Reiss (publisher)
Kurt Reiss (born January 22, 1901 in Aigle , † April 21, 1974 in Basel ) was a Swiss stage agent and publisher.
Life
After the First World War, Reiss worked as a literary agent and manager in Berlin . After working in Berlin, he went to Basel in 1935, where he worked as a stage agent. Just one year later - in 1936 - he founded his own stage publishing house , Kurt Reiss Verlag Basel. In order to enlarge the publishing house, it was converted into the Reiss Basel AG stock corporation in 1942 . Reiss was one of the founders of the Swiss Association of Stage Publishers in Zurich .
