Kurt Thein
Kurt Thein is a former German soccer player who played for SG Fortuna Erfurt in 1949 .
Thein as a football player
Thein was in 1949 with the SG Fortuna Erfurt Thuringian football champion. The SG Fortuna had thus qualified for the soccer east zone championship in 1949 and reached the final. With Kurt Thein as the left winger, she met ZSG Union Halle and lost 4-1. As runners-up, the Erfurt team was given the right to start the newly established East German soccer zone league , which had its first season in 1949/50. Thein was no longer part of the Erfurt squad, who had since taken up the role of BSG KWU, and no longer appeared in higher-class football.
