Kuwait Petroleum Corporation ( KPC ) is a state-owned Kuwait company with its headquarters in Kuwait City . The company was founded on January 27, 1980 as a parent company, which includes the subsidiaries Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC) and Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC).
The company mines, produces, transports and refines crude oil through its subsidiaries .
In some countries, KPC has sold its products under the brand name Q8 (which is spoken for Kuwait).
