Kvamsøy (Kvam)

Kvamsøy is an island in the Hardangerfjord and belongs to the municipality of Kvam in the Norwegian province of Vestland .

The smaller island of Tjuvaholmen is in front of it to the northwest . Kvamsøy extends from northwest to southeast over a length of one kilometer and a width of up to 600 meters. The hilly and wooded island is the location of a meteorological station. There are nine objects listed as cultural monuments on the island, especially prehistoric tombs.
