Steinstø is a village in Kvam municipality in the Norwegian province of Vestland .

It is located on the east bank of the Fyksesund directly at its confluence with the Hardangerfjord to the south . In front of the place is the island of Rossholmen . Fylkesvei 7 runs through Steinstø, and Fykse is to the northwest . The village has a quay.

In Steinstø there is a traditional fruit plantation, in which apples are grown in particular. There is also a café and farm shop at Fylkesvei 7. There is also a restaurant. In 2007 the Hardanger Aquacenter was opened in the village, where edible fish is kept and information is provided about salmon rearing .
