Kwon Young-min

Kwon Young-min ( Korean 권영민 ) (* 1946 ) is a South Korean diplomat .

Life

From 1963 to 1965 he studied German at Seoul National University under Georg Neumann, DAAD lecturer in Korea. In 1969 he joined the diplomatic service of South Korea and was deployed in Austria and Germany . This was followed by a position as chief of protocol for the South Korean President, and later as Consul General in Atlanta . He then became ambassador to Norway . In 2002 he took over the office of the South Korean ambassador to Germany, which he held until 2005. At times he was Vice President of the Jeju Peace Institute . He teaches as a visiting professor at Soon Chun Hyang University .
