The Kyagar Glacier is located in the eastern Karakoram in the Shaksgam Valley annexed by China .
The 20 km long Kyagar Glacier is located in the north of Siachen Muztagh . The Kyagar Glacier flows from the northern flank of the 7245 m high Apsarasas Kangri I and its subsidiary peaks in a north-northwest direction and flows into the upper reaches of the Shaksgam River. The glacier tongue blocks the Shaksgam outflow so that a glacial lake is formed upstream . This repeatedly leads to glacier runs and floods along the Shaksgam and Yarkant rivers .
