Kynortas
Kynortas or Kynortes ( Greek Κυνόρτας or Κυνόρτης ; Latin Cynortes ), the son of Amyklas and Diomede , is a king of Sparta and the brother of Hyakinthos in Greek mythology .
He was the father of the Perieres . Of Pausanias it is also called the father of Oibalos referred. After the death of his brother Argalus , he became ruler of Sparta. He was succeeded by his son Perieres.
