Kyriakos Mavronikolas
Kyriakos Mavronikolas (born January 25, 1955 in Paphos ) is a Cypriot politician of the Kinima Sosialdimokraton (EDEK).
After graduating from the Medical Faculty of Kapodistrias University in Athens , Mavronikolas worked as an ophthalmologist from 1990 . In 2003 he became deputy chairman of EDEK. From 2003 to 2006 he was Cypriot Minister of Defense . In 2009 he was elected to the European Parliament . On August 31, 2012 he left this, however, his successor is Sophocles Sophocleous .
