László Garaczi

László Garaczi (born July 17, 1956 in Budapest , People's Republic of Hungary ) is a Hungarian writer , playwright and translator .

Life

From 1976 to 1981 Garaczi attended the Ho Si Minh Tánárkepső Föiskola , today's Ezterházy Károly Főiskola in Eger (German: Erlau), and graduated there in 1981 as a teacher. Since 1982 he has lived as a freelance writer and translator while studying philosophy at the same time. He graduated from the Loránd Eötvös University in Budapest in 1988 . Since the mid-1980s, some of his novels have also been published in German translation.

From September 2014 to August 2015 Garaczi is Graz city clerk .
