Léa Garcia (born March 11, 1933 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a Brazilian actress .

Garcia is best known as an actress in television series and telenovelas , but she also starred in feature films and television films. She played her first role in 1959 as Seraphina in the film Orfeu Negro , which won, among other things, the Oscar . In 1960 she played Herminia in Brazilian Rhapsody . Other films followed, in which slavery was often dealt with as a topic. However, Garcia became internationally known through the telenovela Die Sklavin Isaura , in which she played the scheming slave Rosa who in the end accidentally poisoned herself. Other important films were The Black Goddess of Ola Balogun (1978) and A Cuban Affair - Viva Sapata! (2002).
