Léon Silvestre

Léon Silvestre (born July 21, 1896 in La Tour-d'Aigues , † June 19, 1965 ibid) was a French politician. From 1932 to 1942 he was a member of the National Assembly .

Silvestre was a professional teacher and was initially one of the militant members of the SFIO . In 1932 he entered the National Assembly for this through the Gard department . In 1936 he was re-elected. In July 1940, he voted for the Vichy regime's Enabling Act . Formally, he remained a member of the National Assembly until 1942. Silvestre was not again active in national politics until his death in 1965.
