Lökbatan is a settlement in Azerbaijan .

The settlement is located in the district (rayon) Qaradağ of Azerbaijan's capital Baku on the south side of the Abşeron Peninsula near the coast of the Caspian Sea . The Poti – Baku railway line and the M2 trunk road run past the town to the south.

In addition to the main town of Lökbatan, the settlement also includes the districts of Heybat east of the main town and Shubani on a ridge northeast of the main town. The Lökbatan mud volcano is located southwest of the main town .

The place was created during the Baku oil boom in the early 20th century. According to the 1989 population census, the place had 23,365 inhabitants, including 11,437 men and 11,928 women. According to a calculation for 2008, the population was 33,245.

The Olympic Sports Complex Lökbatan , a multi-purpose stadium, serves as the home stadium for the Qaradağ Lökbatan FK football club
