The Lübbesee is an approximately 300 hectare river-like lake near the town of Templin in the northeast of the state of Brandenburg . It lies on the edge of the natural area of the Schorfheide . The lake extends over a length of 12 km along the places Templin with the residential area Postheim , Ahrensdorf and Petersdorf to Ahlimbsmühle . Its maximum water depth is 13 m. It has a catchment area of ​​36.75 km².

The lake is closed to boats with internal combustion engines. However, watercraft driven by electric motors are allowed to enter it. The Lübbesee has excellent water quality with visibility depths of up to 4 m.

Round trips with an electric boat are offered from the Templiner Ufer. Furthermore, the lake can be used with rowing, pedal and sailing boats. The shores of the lake are mostly very flat and widely accessible.
