Lübchower mill

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lübchower Mühle was a residential area in the Prussian province of Pomerania .

The living space was laid out in 1854 as a new watermill for the Lübchow manor . The previous watermill was located at a different location, namely southwest of Lübchow on the border with the neighboring town of Kowanz . The new residential area was about 1½ kilometers north of Lübchow in the Persante valley . The persante was not used to drive the water mill, but water from the higher forest area, which was collected in a mill pond. In 1905 there were 3 residents in Lübchower Mühle. Many Lübchow village festivals took place on the square in front of the mill.

Until 1945 Lübchower Mühle formed a residential area in the municipality of Lübchow and belonged with this to the district of Kolberg-Körlin in the Prussian province of Pomerania .

After 1945 Lübchower Mühle came to Poland , like all of Western Pomerania . The mill was operated for some time by backward Germans. The buildings later fell into disrepair. Today the desert lies in the area of the Polish Gmina Karlino (municipality of Körlin) .
