Lüthold of Aarburg

Lüthold von Aarburg , also Lütold von Arburg (* unknown ; † June 7, 1213 ) came from the family of the barons of Aarburg . He was the son of Luitold . Lüthold was first mentioned in 1190 and was Bishop of Basel from 1191 until his death .

Lüthold von Aarburg took part in the Fourth Crusade because of a sermon by Martin Litz von Pairis . During his tenure in office he received the imperial candidate Philipp von Schwaben in Basel in 1207 , a year before his murder.
