The LEM Insta strings , also known as GEM Insta strings marketed, is an analog, polyphonic ( polyphonic ) Strings Keyboard Italian Organ Factory Galanti Group . It was presented in 1975 and manufactured in Italy in small numbers.

General

The Insta Strings is equipped with a 49-key manual and covers a total of four octaves. It has predefined registers, which can be selected with push buttons on the top left of the housing next to the keyboard. The four instruments are tuba , cello , trumpet and violin . The first two are marked with red buttons, the other two with orange buttons. All registers can be combined with each other and played at the same time. As is common with string keyboards from the 1970s, these are by no means real-sounding instruments, but simple, analogue sound imitations.

In addition to the registers, the instrument has four sliders with which a simple envelope generator can be controlled. In addition to “attack” and “release”, the musician can control the volume and panning with the help of a panorama controller. For example, it is possible to only direct the sounds to the left or right loudspeaker. In addition to the four register buttons, there is also a small rotary control that can be used to change the pitch (pitch).

The Insta Strings has two separate outputs for high and low sounds. So the high sounds z. For example, external effects like reverb can be added without affecting the deep bass sounds. In addition, an expression pedal can be connected.
