LGI Logistics Group International GmbH (LGI) is a logistics group with around 5,000 employees at over 45 locations worldwide. The head office is in Herrenberg near Stuttgart. The portfolio includes in particular production logistics , distribution logistics and return logistics . The customers come from the automotive, electronics, industry, healthcare and fashion sectors.

The group is one of the largest industrial contract logistics companies in Germany.

history

The GmbH emerged in 1995 from a spin-off of the company Hewlett-Packard Germany , in which the forwarding company Willi Betz was initially involved in a joint venture , and later 100%. In 2012, the Betz Group sold LGI, since then the majority of the shares have belonged to the two German investment companies Kajo Neukirchen GmbH and M Cap Finance Mittelstandsfonds GmbH & Co. KG , although their respective shares have not been disclosed. In the summer of 2016, the Swedish company Elanders bought LGI 100% from its previous holding companies.

Corporate structure

LGI is divided into the business areas Automotive, Electronics, Fashion / Life-Style, Health-Care / Life-Science and Industrial.

The following subsidiaries belong to the LGI Group:

  • ITG (contract logistics and transport)
  • HELiX (information technology)
  • Logistics learning center (training / further education)

The LGI Group is represented at more than 50 locations in Europe, the USA and Russia and has more than 200 partners in 90 countries.
