LOLAVHESLITE

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

LOLAVHESLIT stands for English longitudinal, lateral, vertical head-sliding test and refers to a German from Neurootologists Claus-Frenz Claussen developed in 1999 medical examination procedures. The procedure is used to diagnose diseases related to the cervical vertebrae and the spine, as well as movement disorders of the neck .

In order to avoid unconscious body movements of the patient, which could affect the test result, the patient performs the necessary movement sequences while sitting; in addition, the patient extends his arms for this purpose and positions his hands between his knees. The movements of the head carried out during the examination, between which it is repeatedly returned to the normal position, are:

  1. The patient stretches his head forward.
  2. The patient turns his head to the right.
  3. The patient turns his head to the left.
  4. The patient leans his head back on his neck, looking up.
  5. The patient bends his head forward and looks down.
  6. These movements are repeated continuously over a period of one minute.

The patient is accompanied during the examination by an examining person sitting in front of him. The test results are recorded by a computer , for example with the aid of cranio-corpo-graphy , and evaluated graphically.
