Distribution, edition

With a monthly print run of 4,000 copies, the magazine reaches its subscribers in Germany and many subscribers in other European and non-European countries.

history

In 1993 Ralf Emminger founded the publishing house Emminger & Partner GmbH, based in Berlin . The magazine was published for the first time in 1995 by Ralf Emminger under the name "Direktsaat". At that time it was published 4 times a year.

In addition to Ralf Emminger, Christian Linke and Karlheinz Köller from the University of Hohenheim initially worked on the editorial team . In 1998 the magazine was given its still valid name "Agriculture without a plow". Not only the no-till method is dealt with in the booklet, but also the soil-conserving concepts that go hand in hand with consistently dispensing with the plow in an agricultural operation. Agriculture without the use of plows promotes life in the soil, has a positive effect on the water balance of the soil and on biodiversity. For successful implementation, additional knowledge is required, which at the time was only partially taught at German universities. This was one of the main reasons for the publication of the journal.

Norbert Lütke-Entrup ( University of Applied Sciences Soest ) and Joachim Bischoff (State Institute for Agriculture, Forestry and Horticulture Saxony-Anhalt) have been members of the LOP editorial advisory board since 2009 .

The magazine has been published monthly since then, with two double editions each in January / February and October / November. Until 2010, the LOP was the central organ of the Society for Conservation Soil Processing (eV), with which we still work today.
