LS Studio (originally Ukrainian Angels Studio ) was a Ukrainian company disguised as a child and youth artist agency for the production of child pornographic images and videos.

Between 2001 and its break-up in August 2004, the company photographed around 500 (other sources say 1500) Ukrainian girls between the ages of eight and sixteen, mostly naked and in provocative poses. The images were offered for sale on websites or in the form of around 80 individually available online magazines (not print magazines). These had names such as LS-Magazine , LS-Land , LS-Island , LS-Stars , LS-Dreams , LS-Barbie , LS-Flash , LS-Girls and LS-Fantasy .

Company history

The company was probably founded between 1999 and 2001 and operated under the name Ukrainian Angels Studio in its early years . In 2003 the name was changed to LS Studio and the online magazines started.

The company advertised and promoted as a model studio in the Ukrainian media, including newspapers and television. The photographers looked for their models primarily in the cities of Kiev , Kharkiv and Simferopol . The photo studio itself was located in Kiev. The organization, which was headed by a Ukrainian in his mid-twenties, generated several hundred thousand euros over the three years. Some sources speak of a profit of $ 100,000 a month. After several months of investigations by the FBI and the Ukrainian police, the organization was dismantled in July 2004. Her boss was arrested and the police confiscated video equipment, computers, images, financial documents and the manager's car. The investigation into the case was completed by April 6, 2005 , according to a Pravda report . The Ukrainian judiciary is silent about how to proceed. The parents of the young models were paid between 10 and 40 US dollars per model hour, which is a lot of money by Ukrainian standards. According to the Ukrainian Interior Ministry, most of the parents knew or suspected what was going on at the photo sessions. In some videos you can hear female stage directions from the off. No parent ever filed a complaint.

Even after the ring was broken, some of the models continued to work as nude models, now legally - including for Karina World , which also put LS material online.

The image and video material is still circulating on the Internet and Usenet.

Produced material

At first the pictures were held in natural poses and could be described as nudes . From 2003 the pictures and poses became more and more of a sexual nature (" revealing act ") and close-ups of the genital organs were taken. However, there were never any sexual acts like intercourse, other sexual acts like penetration or pictures with boys or adults. When the agency was closed, the poses (in the more revealing series of images) were limited to implied sexual acts such as the use of objects, such as bananas, imitating oral sex . Videos of this type were also shot. In general, the image and video material produced can be described as "softcore" child pornography.

What set the LS-Studio apart from others of its kind, besides its size, was its professionalism. The pictures were of a very high quality; costumes were often specially made for the model scenes, which often had a thematic content.
