The Air Force Sports Club Boelcke Krakau ( LSV Boelcke Krakau for short ) was a military sports club from the city of Krakow in occupied Poland during the Second World War .
history
LSV Boelcke Krakow was founded in March 1940 and was named after the former fighter pilot Oswald Boelcke .
In 1942, the Air Force Sports Club won the Krakow District Championship. This qualified him for the semi-finals of the Generalgouvernement Gaume Championship . There the SS / Police Lublin were defeated 2-0 in the semifinals before the final against LSV Warsaw was also victorious with 1-0. As a result, the Krakauer entered the final round of the German championship in 1942 . There, however, the Planitzer SC was already too strong in the qualifying round and won 5-2 in the Westsachsenstadion .
Due to the approaching war events , the LSV Boelcke Krakau was dissolved in September 1944.
