La Hilera is a town in Uruguay .
geography
La Hilera is located in the Tacuarembó Department in Sector 3 south of the Arroyo Veras . The closest settlements are Ansina in the northeast, Clara in the southwest and Montevideo Chico in the southeast. The Cuchilla Santo Domingo extends to the north of La Hilera .
Residents
The population of La Hilera is 107 (as of 2011), 55 of them male and 52 female. The Instituto Nacional de Estadística de Uruguay did not collect any data for the previous censuses from 1963 to 1996 .
