La Montañesa is a town in Uruguay .
geography
La Montañesa is located in the department of Canelones in sector 17 . The place is a few kilometers north of the coast of the Río de la Plata and the local coastal towns of Neptunia and El Pinar . To the north are Empalme Olmos and Piedra del Toro . A few kilometers to the west is Pando .
Infrastructure
The place is on Ruta 34 .
