La Mouette is a Franco-Belgian comic created by Victor Hubinon .

The realistically drawn story about a pirate's daughter who is looking for her father's lost treasure was published in Spirou between December 1978 and April 1979 . After Surcouf and The Red Corsair , it was the third seafaring adventure that Hubinon illustrated. The idea for this did not come from his longtime copywriter Jean-Michel Charlier , but from his partner Gigi Maréchal . The heroine of the title has her facial features. There was no continuation because Hubinon died in January 1979.

Cap au Large released an album 30 years after it was first published.
