The dolmen La Pierre-qui-vire at La Rochepot

The Dolmen La Pierre-qui-vire ( German  stone which rotates ) is in the area of the municipality of La Rochepot near the Château de la Rochepot in the Côte-d'Or department in the region Burgundy in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The simple dolmen ( French dolmen simple ) consists of a large, roughly heart-shaped ceiling plate that rests on a slope almost at ground level on two different (3.0 or 2.2 m) long supporting stones.

A legend has grown up around the dolmen, according to which the capstone rotates around itself on certain occasions.
