La République de Seine-et-Marne is the relevant regional weekly newspaper for the French department of Seine-et-Marne . It appears weekly on Mondays with a print run of around 25,000 copies; black and white printed. It is printed in Fouilloy by Imprimeries IPS .

Editorial

The weekly newspaper covers various topics: news, sports, leisure, culture, classified ads, cinema, festivals, local politics, social life and others. At the end of 2013, the company's website indicated 91,512 readers. The retail price is currently 1.30 euros.

history

The newspaper was initially published from 1894 to 1979 for the areas of Melun, Val de Seine and Sénart. The weekly newspaper has been appearing in today's guise since 1983. The first editor-in-chief was René Morel (1894–1902), member of the société d'archéologie de Seine-et-Marne and in 1899 appointed “officier d'académie”. He was followed by Eugène Delaroue (1902–1906), university professor and mayor of Melun.
