La difesa della razza ( dt : the defense of the race ) was an Italian fascist magazine.

It appeared from August 5, 1938 to June 20, 1943 and dealt primarily with the pseudo-scientific justification of the superiority of the " Aryan race " over the "Jewish" and other allegedly inferior races .

With Telesio Interlandi, the publisher was one of the most influential fascist journalists. Among his staff was Giorgio Almirante , later a high-ranking member of the neo-fascist Movimento Sociale Italiano (MSI). One of the main authors was Julius Evola , who in 1937 published the Protocols of the Elders of Zion in the Italian version of Giovanni Preziosi and who later also became a central figure of Italian right-wing extremism . La difesa della razza was the main stage of the debate between the intellectuals who wanted to justify racism “spiritually” (Evola) and those who wanted to justify it anthropologically or biologically based on Nazi Germany.
