Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings was formed in 1995 through a merger between National Health Laboratories (NHL), a former subsidiary of Revlon , and Roche Biomedical Laboratories (RBL), a former division of Hoffmann-La Roche . This merger created LabCorp, the world's largest provider of clinical laboratory services. A large number of company acquisitions took place in the following years, such as the takeover of Covance in 2015.
