Julie Bennett (born January 24, 1932 in Beverly Hills , † March 31, 2020 in Los Angeles ) was an American actress and voice actress .

Life

Julie Bennett began her acting career in the early 1950s when she was cast as supporting actress in various television series in individual episodes. By the end of her career in 2000, she worked in over 80 film and television projects, both in front of the camera and behind the camera, lending her voice to animation projects. Bennett played smaller and smaller supporting roles and appeared in series such as Patrol Car 2150 , Smoking Colts and The Model and the Snoop .

As a voice actress Bennett was regularly employed for various animation projects from the late 1950s. She was frequently booked for Hanna Barbera productions. Her greatest role was that of Cindy Bear. She spoke the role of Yogi Bear's lover from 1961 to 1988 in various cartoons and animated films. After Linda Gary , the actual voice of Aunt May in the Spiderman animated series, died in 1995, Bennett took over her role and spoke the character in the animated series New Spider-Man .

In addition to her career as an actress, she also worked as a real estate broker and agent - although she did not work under her maiden name but under pseudonyms for these activities.

Bennett died on March 31, 2020 at the age of 88 as a result of a SARS-CoV-2 infection.
