Laboratory diagnostics

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The medical laboratory industry in Germany (as of 2012) is largely medium-sized despite the concentration processes.

The medical laboratory diagnostics is the generic term for various disciplines of medical diagnosis using samples of materials, including the laboratory medicine , the bacteriological and parasitological diagnostics, viral diagnostics and human genetic , transfusion medicine and toxicological (in the special case the forensic ) laboratory diagnostics as well as the specialized scientists yielded laboratory diagnostics under medical responsibility.

One of the most popular methods is blood testing . Today there are also many so-called rapid tests in order to be able to make decisions after a short time.

The Heilpraktikergesetz (Heilpraktikergesetz) stipulates a doctor's reservation in general for diagnostics as well. Since the HPG does not define all activities that are subject to doctor's reservation, additional laws have defined additional doctor's reservations for certain individual medical activities, but at the same time clarified which activities do not necessarily have to be subject to the doctor's reservation. According to the Transfusion Act , the overall organizational responsibility of the person responsible for the transfusion is expressly a medical service; the laboratory examinations in the associated immunohematological laboratory can also be carried out and are responsible for specialized scientists. The Infection Protection Act also contains such a clarification with regard to microbiological laboratory tests. In the Genetic Diagnostics Act , the doctor's reservation for genetic counseling and the indication for genetic laboratory tests also applies. The law allows laboratory diagnostics to be delegated to other institutions and / or people.
