The Lac Nouveau is a lake in the Administrative Region Côte-Nord of the Canadian province of Quebec .
Lac Nouveau is located in central Labrador, southeast of the Caniapiscau reservoir . The lake is located in the area of the Canadian Shield at an altitude of 527 m . The Lac Nouveau represents a river broadening of the Rivière Caniapiscau on its upper reaches. The Rivière Caniapiscau flows from the neighboring Lac Vaubois to the Lac Nouveau and flows through it in a west-northwest direction to the nearby Caniapiscau reservoir. The lake, interspersed with islands and peninsulas, resembles a labyrinth. The area of Lac Nouveau is 83 km².
The lake was named after Arnould de Nouveau . There are other lakes of the same name in Québec.
