The Lac de Lacanau or Étang de Lacanau is a French lake located in the Gironde department ( Nouvelle-Aquitaine region ) , about 45 km northwest of Bordeaux . It is located near Lacanau , is 2,000 hectares in size and about 7 meters deep.
