occupation

Fatso is a 2008 Norwegian film directed by Arild Fröhlich . The film is loosely based on Lars Ramslie's 2003 novel of the same name .

action

The shy translator Rino has never been with a woman before. His sexual experiences are limited to masturbation. The sarcastic Fillip is the overweight loser's only friend. Rino mostly passes his time watching porn videos and drawing erotic comics. When Rino's father rented a room in the apartment to the attractive Swede Malin, Rino's previously peaceful life changed suddenly. In the future, he dreams of a relationship with the young woman, but his stupid advances fail again and again.

criticism

“Anyone who gets red ears from absurd sex fantasies and pig-like dialogues should leave Arild Fröhlich's comedy on the shelf. He bluntly shows the bare facts, garnished with a lot of coarse, but rather original pun. ... But why Fröhlich lets his story drift into drama at the end remains a mystery in view of the inexperienced and charming 70 minutes before it. "

Awards

Fatso won the Amanda Award for Best Director at Den norske filmfestivalen 2009 . Josefin Ljungman, who played Malin, was also nominated for the Amanda Award for Best Supporting Actress.
