Johnny Douglas (composer)
Johnny Douglas (born June 19, 1920 in Hackney , † April 20, 2003 in Bognor Regis ) was a British composer and music arranger.
Life
Douglas began as a pianist in 1939, worked from 1948 for Decca Records , for which he recorded about 500 songs and later for RCA Records , for which he recorded about 80 albums. He led his own orchestra and worked for numerous British artists from the 1950s to the 1970s. He wrote the soundtrack for over thirty films and television series .
In 1982 he founded his own label, Dulcima , with which he gradually released his recordings. This edition will be continued even after his death.
