The Lac de Lona is a mountain lake in the Val d'Anniviers in the canton of Valais , Switzerland . The lake is at an altitude of 2640 m above sea level. M. above Grimentz on the Lona plateau . It is the largest of around 15 mountain lakes there. An above-ground drain is not visible.
The turquoise mountain lake lies at the foot of the Sasseneire . A mule track leads past the bank to the Pas de Lona , a pass crossing between the Val d'Anniviers and the Val d'Hérens .
