The Lac de Tanay or Lac de Taney is a small mountain lake at 1408 m above sea level. M. on the municipality of Vouvry in the canton of Valais in Switzerland . In the north-west it is framed by the peaks of the Grammont and the Jumelles . It is included in the federal inventory of landscapes and natural monuments of national importance with the number 1702.
Since 1901, the lake's water has been directed to a power station near the village of Vouvry. Due to this use, the water level fluctuates considerably.
