Lactogal is a Portuguese milk and dairy products company.
history
The company was created in 1996 from the merger of three companies and production cooperatives , namely AGROS - União das Cooperativas de Leite Entre Douro eo Minho e Trás-os-Montes UCRL , LACTICOOP - União das Cooperativas de Leite entre Douro e Mondego UCRL , and the PROLEITE / MIMOSA SA Lactogal has become in the wake leader in milk and milk products in Portugal, with brands such as Mimosa , Matinal or Vigor . Today the company has 15 locations (seven production and five logistics and sales units) in 12 locations in continental Portugal, Madeira and the Azores .

In 2005 Lactogal had sales of 683.5 million euros, in 2010 it was 682 million euros. Lactogal has also strengthened its position in Spain in recent years through acquisitions and expansion. In 2008, 14% of sales came from Spain. The company was able to expand in Spain through the purchase of the Spanish Leche Celta in particular , but had to sell its Renoldy branded company as a requirement of the regulatory authorities . The company's goal is to become the market leader on the Iberian Peninsula .
